Whitesands Bay, Sennen Cove, Cornwall

Whitesands Bay is the closest beach to Lands End and has little of the commercialism.
It can get busy though, and is popular with surfers and others.
The sand isn't white but it's as white as you get in Cornwall.
The white sand gives the sea a turquoise colour which shines through even when the light isn't very good.
