Aillebrack is on the Ballyconeely peninsula which is a few miles south of Clifden. It faces south and has lost of islets a mile or two out to sea, so, to a large extent its sheltered from the Atlantic. There was hardly a wave when I was there.
I concentrated on the water, but a lot goes on there, including cows relaxing on the beach, and pony trekkers passing by.
